Enviromental Best Practices for Health Care Facilities: "Using Microfiber Mops in Hospitals"
 
This case study provides detailed information to help hospitals evaluate the possibility of using microfiber mops. It is an excellent resource that thoroughly describes the benefits and costs of microfiber mops compared with conventional wet loop mops. The fact sheet was produced by the EPA Region 9 Pollution Prevention Program. (Publication date November, 2002)

SHP Microfiber Mopping Fact Sheet and Case Study
 
Two Sustainable Hospitals Project (SHP)publications address microfiber mops. "10 Reasons to Use Microfiber Mopping" provides a brief description of microfiber mops and what benefits they offer. The Case Study "Are Microfiber Mops Beneficial for Hospitals?" focuses on health and safety aspects of microfiber mopping, in order to help hospitals evaluate microfiber mops as an alternative to conventional loop mops.
